Inventory management

Inventory management is the practice companies follow to ensure they have enough raw material, parts and finished products to meet customer demand without storing too much of any of these—which is costly and inefficient.

Good inventory management helps ensure customers receive orders quickly, which is key to customer satisfaction. At the same time, it helps companies offer competitive prices by controlling costs.
