Geneviève Bouthillier appointed to the position of Executive Vice President, BDC Capital

Montreal, September 26th, 2024 Isabelle Hudon, President and CEO of BDC, is pleased to announce the internal promotion of Geneviève Bouthillier to the position of Executive Vice-President, BDC Capital, as part of BDC’s Senior Management Committee.

Ms. Bouthillier will now oversee all BDC Capital’s strategy and operations, inheriting a strong and focused team that is well established within Canada’s investment ecosystem. Since joining BDC in April of 2024, Ms. Bouthillier has demonstrated a keen ability to create effective investment strategies and drive team performance, and was instrumental in the launch of investment platforms dedicated to Black and Indigenous-led businesses.

She is a strong, authentic, and strategic leader deeply committed to ensuring the future success of BDC Capital and delivering on BDC’s purpose to empower a nation of dreamers and doers to build a better tomorrow for all.

She brings more than 20 years of experience in the field of finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate financing. Prior to joining BDC, she served as Vice President, Private Mid-Market Companies, at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Quebec (CDPQ), where she oversaw the capital deployment and value creation strategy for medium-sized businesses. She also led the Ambition ME initiative, a suite of financing solutions and support services for Québec mid-market companies. She was also the Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Fondaction.
