What we don’t do

Every dollar in our portfolio is used to support Canadian entrepreneurs. Here’s a list of what BDC doesn’t provide:

• Grants
• Lines of credit
• Personal loans
• Bank accounts, credit cards, term deposits, guaranteed investment certificates
• Loans for the following ineligible activities:
  • Businesses that are sexually exploitive or inconsistent with generally accepted community standards of conduct and propriety, including those that feature sexually explicit entertainment, products or services.
  • Businesses trading in countries that are proscribed by the federal government.
