We encourage the growth of Canada’s venture capital ecosystem by providing financial support to our general and limited partners through key programs we manage on behalf of the Government of Canada.
Venture Capital Catalyst Initiative (VCCI)
Managed by BDC on behalf of the Government of Canada, VCCI recapitalized and launched four private-sector-led funds of funds and seven VC funds.
Venture Capital Action Plan (VCAP)
Part of an effort to attract private-sector capital and bolster Canada’s VC sector sustainability, VCAP has raised more than $1.4 billion CAD.
Bridge Financing Program (BFP)
The $300 million BFP was created to help venture-backed start-ups affected by COVID-19 by matching up to 100% of financing rounds raised from qualified investors.
