Tania Clarke joined the BDC Board of Directors in June 2021.
Ms. Clarke has over 25 years of experience in senior financial positions across a diverse range of sectors, including food and beverage, manufacturing, retail and finance. She previously served as Senior Vice-President and CFO at publicly traded multinational corporations such as New Look Vision Group and Imvescor Restaurant Group. Her expertise spans enterprise risk, finance, reporting, governance, investor relations, law, real estate, tax, mergers and acquisitions, and information technology.
Ms. Clarke began her career at KPMG in Montreal, Quebec. Currently, she is a board member of Futurpreneur Canada, the McGill University Health Centre Foundation, and Jamieson Wellness Inc., where she also chairs the Audit Committee.
In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Clarke has been actively involved in community groups in Montreal, Quebec. She has held board positions with the West Island Black Community Association and the Games for Hope Foundation.
Ms. Clarke is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and holds a Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy as well as a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Illinois, and holds an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, where she was Cohort Valedictorian.
In 2024, Ms. Clarke earned two Global Competent Boards Designations & Certificates (CCB.D and GCB.D) for successfully completing the Climate & Biodiversity Designation Program and the Sustainability & ESG Designation Program. In 2025, she was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal for her business and community contributions, and was named a CPA Fellow.
